Last year many captivating films hit the big screen, one that particularly impressed me was the heist film, Now You See Me. The film stars some famous people such as Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson and Dave Franco. The film in a nutshell is explained very well by the synopsis provided by IMDB "An FBI agent and an Interpol detective follow the trail of a team of illusionists who carry out bank robberies during their performances and reward the audience with money." There are many magic tricks that take place in addition to the bank robbery, however, that trick is the focal point of the entire film. In the movie "Now You See Me" there are many interesting features such as; the characters and their roles, the strong and weak points of the overall plot, the foreshadowing shown in the film, the conflicts presented in this film, as well as some good life lessons to learn. In this film in particular, there are many significant characters. Wizards, known as the Four Horsemen, are our great tricksters in this situation. The first is Daniel Atlas; he is a world-famous magician, who has few nervous qualities about him. He tends to be very similar to our antagonist according to Stephanie Merry who said: "They are fun to watch with their sweet jokes, but they are also dismissive and hypocritical." The next person in the Four Horsemen is Merritt McKinney, the Mentalist. We are introduced to him through a scene where he scams a couple out of money. There is another conman in the Four Horsemen known as Jack Wilder. He is the youngest of the group and is considered childish until the end of the film. He is also a con artist and admires the great names of the magi... in the center of the card... but he doesn't. I love the foreshadowing in this movie! It's great once you get the hang of it because you can watch the movie again and it becomes even better. The conflict is truly astonishing; it's great that there are both internal and external conflicts. Plus, it's not just a movie without a message, there's actually a meaning behind everything that happens and I like it, as I'm sure other people like it too. The movie “Now You See Me” has a lot of ideas and qualities about it once you look at it more closely and evaluate it. In the end, it's a great movie and one I would recommend.
