Men are revealed as "intrepid, tenacious, decisive or men of action". They should not be afraid and never show weakness. An example of this is superheroes who keep everyone safe. The media has led people to believe that the male stereotype is normal and right. Men have the main roles and have authority. They are also shown as “idiots,” forced to rely on women for everything. The image of sex and sport linked to beer remains imprinted on males. Negative stereotypes about men are not as common in the media as positive ones. However, if someone steps outside of these stereotypes, they are judged and criticized for it (gender roles). However, men are stereotyped in the media, but not as negatively as women. Gender stereotypes have influenced the way everyone lives their lives. They adapt their behavior, thoughts, feelings, and attitudes to fit these general stereotypes. Individuals have learned and developed what is considered right for their gender. Wanting to fit in, people do not deviate from these norms, fearing what others might think of them.
