Although climate change is not visible overnight, year after year there are many visible signs of climate change, there is clear evidence of this thanks to observations and measurements all over the world. Some of the most notable visible signs are rising temperatures, increasing drought, increasing extreme weather events, changing rain and snow patterns, reducing snow cover, melting glaciers, reducing sea ​​ice, thawing permafrost, increasing ocean acidity, rising ocean temperatures and rising sea levels. Average temperatures are being experienced around the world, and this is caused by greenhouse gases trapping more heat in the Earth's atmosphere. The period 2000-2009 was the warmest decade on record and it is predicted that average temperatures worldwide could rise between 1°C and 4.5°C by 2100, depending on whether humans continue to add gases greenhouse into the atmosphere at the current rate, or reduce these levels. Many effects are occurring due to these temperature increases, such as increased droughts that are predicted to continue to become longer and more severe in the future. Extreme weather events, especially storms, are becoming stronger due to warming upper layers of the ocean, higher air temperatures and higher evaporation rates. Snowstorms and stronger thunderstorms are expected to occur more often in the future, and these storms may increase in intensity as the climate gets warmer. Changes are also observed in snow cover, glaciers, sea ice and permafrost, and in rainfall and snowfall rates, mostly in colder climates. Snow cover is decreasing due to rising temperatures causing faster and earlier snowmelt, as well as more precipitation and less snow in cold, high-altitude areas. Climate change may lead to population growth in the area due to warmer climate and more livable conditions, which may become difficult to maintain and these growing external influences will also affect the culture of the people currently living in the area. These two case studies together with the other information above provide examples of the vast impacts that climate change is currently having and the further changes it is predicted to have on both the environment and human development in the future. Some of these impacts are positive, however overall negative impacts are expected to occur. This will create many consequences and problems for future generations, some challenges that could be overcome and some that could not.
