In the nineteenth century, the “History Wars” became the struggle among the most eminent historians centered on the deception of frontier conflict between workers and coalition. The debate arose from the different interpretations of the violence that occurred during European colonization and to what extent. It has become a crisis in history, emerging from the dispossession of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (ATSI) which has resulted in the exclusion of their traditions and culture. The ATSI were the first people of Australia to bring with them a different culture, language, kinship structures and way of life (Face the Facts, 2012). Post-European colonization was a time when ATSI people experienced disadvantage in the land they called home. With the vital role of future educators, it requires an in-depth knowledge of Australian history and one of the most influential moments in our history began with the first European settlers. A political debate derived from the 1990s which held the British colonists guilty of starting the "history wars" in which many protagonists were involved. The "wars of history" are divided into two views, one of which is a conservative view that viewed European settlement as an achievement in taming hostile lands. The progressive view, on the other hand, perceives history as a reminder of the invasion of their land, frontier violence, and the dispossession of indigenous owners. John Howard, representing the Liberal party, was one of the main protagonists of this controversy, representing the conservative vision.
