Topic > The debate on the legalization of abortion - 1050

. The legalization of abortion has been an issue of enormous debate not only in the United States but around the world. It caused a lot of controversy and a lot of sensation. Abortion is the abortion of a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus. The most famous procedures for performing abortion are saline, prostaglandin, menstrual extraction and hysterotomy. According to research, “Half of abortions in America occur in the first two weeks after a woman discovers her pregnancy. 90% are done during the first trimester. Less than 9% of abortions occur during the second trimester, which leaves just over 1% of abortions performed during the third trimester. Abortion has been legalized in America for over 30 years. In 1971, a pregnant woman named Roe filed a lawsuit challenging the Texas abortion law that made it illegal to have or attempt an abortion except with medical waivers if the mother's life was at risk. The legal case would later be known as Roe vs. Wade. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Roe which made abortion possible. A very important situation to consider regarding the legalization of abortion is “at what stage does life actually begin?” Scientifically, the human being is defined as a complete, living and organized organism. A zygote created during fertilization falls totally into this category and meets all the specified requirements. A zygote is the first complete human cell. So, the zygote can be considered a living human being and abortion simply involves the elimination of a zygote, it is safe to say that abortion is murder. The act of murder is something that is illegal all over the world. Furthermore, most people do not ... middle of paper ......diction, all major cities in the United States have many more potential parents who will willingly adopt infants and toddlers than they have available for the adoption. Let's unite and say NO to abortion. In conclusion, legalizing abortion is a controversial issue and there is not much the government can do. We have so many pro-choice advocates and their numbers are growing every day. Some people believe that broadening the dialogue to include a broader spectrum of views and opinions will increase the chances of ending the controversy. Banning abortion is in the interests of women and children. If banned, the decision would simply save the lives of unborn children, while women tend to face physical and physiological problems after abortion. They experience more complications, some of which may take several years to emerge after having the abortion.
