In 1971, a pregnant woman named Roe filed a lawsuit challenging the Texas abortion law that made it illegal to have or attempt an abortion except with medical waivers if the mother's life was at risk. The legal case would later be known as Roe vs. Wade. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Roe which made abortion possible. A very important situation to consider regarding the legalization of abortion is “at what stage does life actually begin?” Scientifically, the human being is defined as a complete, living and organized organism. A zygote created during fertilization falls totally into this category and meets all the specified requirements. A zygote is the first complete human cell. So, the zygote can be considered a living human being and abortion simply involves the elimination of a zygote, it is safe to say that abortion is murder. Banning abortion is in the interests of women and children. If banned, the decision would simply save the lives of unborn children, while women tend to face physical and physiological problems after abortion. They experience more complications, some of which may take several years to emerge after having the abortion.
