What is "gender"? “Gender” refers to those characteristics that define or explain whether someone is male or female based on their behavioral differences, such as how they dress or act towards others, the type of work they do, and their status in society. Gender is not the sex we are born with, "sex" refers to all the physical attributes that separate women and men according to biological differences or in other words "sex" is the biological constitution of a human being, while gender refers to cultural attributes derived from sex differences. For example, some babies being male by birth means having male parts but feeling female. They are simply physically male with feminine characteristics and act feminine. This gives them a new identity which is known as how they feel more and in accordance with the gender they belong to. they have and this gives them a new gender identity. There are two main genders: "male" and "female". Gender roles are actually precisely those ideas and which are implemented...... middle of paper...... appear. Change starts at home. As quoted by Dr. Phill “Change can happen in two important ways: start behaving positively or stop behaving negatively.” Parents must give their children the opportunity to live their lives free from the chains of gender prejudices and stereotypes. we say: ''Great oaks grow from small acorns.'' Conclusion: Sex is the organizer of human society. This is culturally filtered through gender roles that impact our lives. Gender role stereotypes are one of the most consistent ways in which adults and especially parents play a significant role in the socialization of a child. Parents must learn to adopt an androgynous attitude while raising their children. Eradicate gender prejudices and implement adequate egalitarianism.
