The Heritage FoundationMarch 13, 2014The Heritage Foundation is a conservative research organization whose primary purpose is to influence conservative public policies based on personal liberties, limited government intervention, free enterprise, and on promoting core American values. The Heritage Foundation is an influential organization that has been advocating for policies within the United States for many years. The foundation is funded through direct mail fundraising from donors. Much private and public cooperation has financed the ongoing running of the organization for many years. US presidents have partnered with the organization to promote their policies within government. The Heritage Foundation is highly regarded by the government due to its conservative nature towards public policies. The Reagan administration borrowed foreign policy from the founding. The George Bush administration borrowed its domestic policy from the founding. Through its publications, the Heritage Foundation tends to promote its policies to people, thus influencing their long-term performance. Recently, the foundation has been in the spotlight for its promotion of economic freedom in the Obama administration. The organization is also known in its advocacy for removing corruption and policies that have a negative influence on the public. President Clinton's health plan borrowed its basic principles and policies from the Heritage Foundation. His policy was fundamentally intended to promote personal responsibility in terms of health care plan, thus promoting the well-being of society (Ehrlich & Ehrlich, 1996). For this reason, it is clear that the media should not engage in any position-taking activities when addressing the policy in question. Journalists should always monitor all foundation policies and arguments to ensure they have left an opportunity for public judgment. This will ensure that public policy has been promoted without any form of discrimination or support (Abelson, 2006). References Abelson, D. E. (2006).
