What did you do, your honor? I know he was out with his friends late at night, but he would never commit a crime like that. This is how many American parents explain their children to the judge. When a mother cannot face the fact that her child has committed an obvious crime, she will begin to express her personal emotions. In the justice system emotions get you nowhere, if your son/daughter had been where he/she should have been he/she would not have found himself/herself in this situation. This is the problem that no curfew affects public society. I believe if you are a minor you should have a curfew because of all the obstacles man faces every day, no matter how hard you try, you can't jump every obstacle without encountering it. I really don't understand why all states don't do this. Don't enforce curfew in all communities, let me explain why. First of all, the curfew keeps children safe, parents can't be everywhere at once. Furthermore, curfew slowly but surely teaches children time management and responsibility. Last but not least, curfew will indirectly increase students' grades in school. Numerous studies have been conducted on how grades are affected by curfews. In conclusion, I strongly support the purpose of the curfew. For starters, curfews keep kids safer than usual. When you have children roaming the streets, something bad is bound to happen. It's always that experimental friend who says "hey guys, let's try this". Well, this statement can lead to a lot of problems. According to a recent study, there has been a 97% decline in juvenile delinquents (Seith 1). This means that with the curfew incorporated within the community, the rate of children going to youth centers has significantly decreased.
