I took the Jung Humanmetrics Typology test. This test is based on the typological method of Carl Jung and Isabel Briggs Myers to help understand personality type. What a person receives from this test is a 4-letter formula that helps them know their personality type. The test also helps them understand what career or occupation they might be interested in and which jobs would use their personality traits. I was surprised by my results and they helped me understand myself a little better. I am classified as INFP (Introverted Intuitive Feeling and Perception). INFPs tend to look at the world through rose-colored glasses. They see the good in everyone. They think more with their hearts than with their heads. They have a sense of wonder and a good imagination. Sometimes the imagination can become too real for them and they suffer great disappointment when they discover that it is not real. Sometimes they think about problems for so long that they act too late to do anything to help. Introverts usually prefer to work alone or with a few close friends. They are usually considered reserved or shy. Introverts tend to think about decisions instead of simply throwing themselves into a situation. Intuitives tend to look at the big picture and then look at the facts. They are not practical, they prefer to think about a problem and think about new possibilities. They look for new ways to do things even if they don't know how to initiate new ideas. I'm about 1% more intuitive than psychic, so I tend to fall somewhere between the two personality traits. I believe I have the gift of interpreting technical information in layman's terms, which is the intuitive personality trait. Feeling that people seem to be dear...... middle of paper ...... hurting his brothers will be 10 minute timeout or loss of special privileges. Being the middle child can be very difficult. Molly will learn that she is loved, wanted, and that she can do many fun and interesting things that her siblings may not be able to do. Her self-esteem will grow as she grows up and the bond between her and her siblings grows. Adler's theory gives us much information about the birth order of children and adults and helps develop the treatments needed to help them grow as individuals.
