Topic > Edgar Allen Poe: A Biography - 836

For my research paper I chose Edgar Allan Poe as the author. I selected this author because I really like reading his works. I have read many of his works: The Crow, The Masque of the Red Death, Annabel Lee, The Barrel of Amontidallo, The Fall of the House of Ushers, Eleonora. I really like reading his works because they are full of mystery. He portrays a great feeling of darkness in all his works. He was one of the authors we focused on a lot during my junior and senior year. When I was a senior, we watched a two-hour documentary about him and his life growing up. I am very familiar with most of his work and his style. My favorite Edgar Allan Poe poems are “The Raven” and “Annabel Lee.” They are very interesting pieces of literature. Both of these writings have so much meaning about his life. I think they are his two best poems. He is the only author who has ever interested me. I know a lot about his personal life and career. I think I could write a good biographical research article on him. Edgar Allan Poe was the son of David and Elizabeth Poe. His parents were both actors. He was born on January 19, 1809.
