Computers have changed the world in many positive ways, but they also have some negative side effects. There are many different types of computers, and they all have benefits and problems. Tablets are good for interactive things but can't process as much as a larger computer. Smartphones are even weaker than tablets but they are special because they can be used to make calls and send messages without using a program like Skype. Laptops are more powerful than both smartphones and tablets, but they still don't reach the stats of a desktop computer. Desktops are the most sturdy and customizable, but they can't be moved very easily. All of these computers have changed the world in their own way, just as computers in general have changed the world. Computers have been around for a long time, but they haven't been in the hands of the average consumer for very long. When computers were made, they didn't do much and weren't very portable at all. As computers have become more popular among consumers, they have become more portable and more powerful. Twenty years ago, not many people had a computer, and almost no one had a portable one. Now almost everyone has a computer, and many have a laptop other than a smartphone. While there is an obvious difference between laptops and desktop computers, it is important to know the difference between tablets, smartphones, and laptops. Laptops are the most powerful of portable computers but they are also the least portable. They would be considered... middle of the paper... they can't be overlooked because they hit everyone on the road. When people text and drive, they can't concentrate on what they're doing, so they're more prone to accidents. This is a problem with smartphones and regular cell phones, but they still help more than they hurt. Even with the few problems that portable technology has, it has helped far more than it has hurt. People connected and made new friends all over the world. It's much safer to go places because smartphones can keep people in touch without using their home phone. With the ability to take notes more easily in the field, scientists have expanded their knowledge, and with the precision of using tablets, surgeons can more easily perform delicate surgeries. These technologies have increased the general human population by connecting so many people and helping people in their lives in general.
