Everyone in America probably has a history of bullying, whether as a victim, bully, or witness. From the controversy over same-sex marriage, to the legalization of marijuana, and even the frightening new thinking of a more desensitized and monstrous generation come the endless swirling topics for government officials to consider. Recently among all the policies that are emerging there is a much greater concern about cyberbullying and what there is to prevent it, or even what to do after it is discovered. Lawmakers at the federal and state levels are now trying to figure out whether cyberbullies should be charged with crimes or charges at the adult level, or should be dealt with on a more teen-based level such as community service. Although victims may take extreme measures when they are bullied, teenagers should not be accused of cyberbullying because role models can teach teenagers not to let their self-esteem be damaged by mass media and victims can also turn to helplines and supporters in their lives. community. Her parents said they don't recall her ever telling them about the problems she was having online and at school.
