Some causes of kidney stones are still under discussion whether they are due to what you consume or a family history. There are some common kidney stones which are phosphate, oxalate and calcium. These kidney stones can vary in size, in other words if the kidney stones are small there is less tendency to notice them. However, most people would notice when it starts filling cramp-like pains on the back and sides in the area around the kidneys or lower abdomen. Due to the blockage of the urine by the insoluble salt, this causes more concentrated urine. Although kidney stones cannot be linked to a specific cause such as what is eaten, some factors increase the porosity of kidney stones. Some of the factors are being overweight, a history of kidney problems, individuals who drink a lot of fluids. Below is what some kidney stones look like in relation to shape and size.
