Unlike many people who attended college after graduating high school, I wasn't one of them. I chose to be a wife and mother of two children; later, after my children grew up and my first marriage ended, I realized I needed a change. I decided to attend a community college taking traditional classroom courses. It was a big struggle for me because I was working full time and part time while working on an associate degree. What should have only taken me two years to complete took me four because I wasn't able to work in all the classes needed to graduate in a two-year period, my crazy-hour job, and taking care of my family didn't work. allowed it. After earning my degree, I knew I wanted to continue my education, but the traditional constraints of classroom learning weren't going to work for me. When my daughter started college and I discovered that she was taking accredited online courses, I immediately knew that perhaps this was the opportunity I was looking for. I did some research and found an accredited school that offered a degree through online learning. I earned my bachelor's degree and graduated with honors by taking online classes in less time than the traditional learning method. Online courses require self-motivation and discipline to be successful. The real benefit of online courses is that you have the flexibility to fit them into your life schedule and can take them at your own pace within reason. Therefore, based on my personal experience, I strongly advocate online learning over traditional physical learning. When I started taking online classes it was because I couldn't fit a full-time class load into my full-time work schedule. It is the convenience of CL...... middle of paper...... in acquiring a leading corporate position. Is virtual online learning better than physical learning? It must be said that for me and many others it has given us the opportunity to equip ourselves with education and information to make us competitive in the hiring arena. References Bassis, Michael S.
