As a group, we believe that the software design model to use is Model V. This model takes the approach of addressing each phase of development, completing it and testing it before moving on to the next phase. Yes, it's a time-consuming process but it's suitable for small projects like designing this phone app. It also offers the advantage of discovering any problems early so they can be corrected. We should take the same methodical approach to the phone app, testing each development phase before moving on to the next throughout the entire design, creation, and implementation process. Another very important reason to use this technique is to ensure full compatibility and consistency with any existing system, as well as consistency with different smartphone platforms. Question 1 Requirements Gathering Techniques Our sources for app requirements will come from customers (hotel management), hotel IT staff, and hotel guests. Hotel management will provide the initial needs of the app, identifying the overall purpose and function of the app, as well as detailed procedures and protocols, such as room reservation processes, color schemes, logo placement etc. IT staff, administration or IT managers to be more specific will provide more technical requirements as the app will need to be integrated and work with existing systems. Short questionnaires and short interviews will be administered on site to hotel guests in an attempt to take user suggestions into consideration although they may not be incorporated into the first release but into future updates. The importance of looking at the whole…half of the paper…will meet the expectations of the users as well as provide a good experience to the users as well.
