We may be strongly opposed in our beliefs, but creationists and evolutionists all have the same evidence, the same facts. We all have the same earth, the same animals and plants, the same universe: the facts are all the same. The difference lies in how we all interpret the facts. And why do we interpret the facts differently? Because we start from different assumptions. These are things they take for true, without being able to prove them. These assumptions become the basis for other conclusions. All reasoning on both sides is based on assumptions. This becomes especially relevant when dealing with, attending to, and studying past events and objects. What we're trying to do is simply connect the past to the present. However, if we were not there in the past to observe events, how can we know what happened so we can explain the present? Evolutionists have certain beliefs about the past corresponding to the present, such as the absence of God (or at least one who created anything in the universe) Evolutionists believe in the theory of evolution regarding the similarity of primates as an indication of a common ancestry. It is one of the great unifying concepts of modern biology. Today, the study of the DNA sequences of closely related species provides clues to the mutations that have produced organisms with different physical characteristics. DNA sequences also allow us to identify contemporary organisms that share a common evolutionary ancestry. Students today are taught what to think, i.e. evolution, rather than what to think. It's forced into their heads at such a young age that it's all they know. This is what they will trust because they grew up hearing it and trust the teachers who taught them. It really hardens the heart... to the center of the card... of the past to better explain the present. It defines things like morality. It sets an example of how people should live their lives. It gives hope in something from the past of this life. So, in conclusion, biblical and evolutionary ideas, beliefs, responses, and interpretations come from the same facts. Mental processes nowadays come from ideas and interpretations of such facts. And only on this we differ. We are all still human beings. We are all still unique and have the right to choose what to believe. Hence the pattern of thousands of beliefs foreign to evolutionary or Christian ideas. People just want to know where they come from, why they are here and where they are going. So either it's first come, first serve, which is whatever they've learned, or they make the decision that makes the most sense for themselves based on their own observations.
