Answers to the creation of the worldIn the midst of history there exists an unlimited range of solutions, posed by every civilization, which attempt to explain how the world was created through the use of "creation myths". Within all cultures there are countless myths regarding the story of the "beginning of time". However, even though there are so many different accounts that try to explain how the world was created, the creation of the world is still unknown. Therefore there are countless debates about which aspects of myths are fact and which are not pertinent to creation. Therefore, due to the large amount of myths circulating, religious and scientific ideologues have not yet made much progress towards this study of “creationalism”. The Chinese Pangu creation myth and the Genesis myth are both great examples of how different myths describe "the beginning" and how, even though they are inherently different, they both share common factors. The ancient Chinese Pangu creation myth includes many aspects of the "known" version of Genesis Christianity and similarly contains numerous differences. The Pangu myth has its origins in the Zhou dynasty and was probably, although not proven, told thousands of years before that dynasty. In this myth the earth develops and is born from the giant called Pangu or Pan Gu. At first there was only darkness and formless chaos. Then chaos forms in a cosmic egg in which a creature has dwelt for 18,000 years. Once the egg is fully mature, i.e. contains a neutral amount of Yin and Yang, Pangu, the giant, hatches from the egg. The Yin in the egg flies downward and becomes the earth, and the Yang flies upward and becomes the sky. In fear that earth and sky would collide, P...... middle of paper ......of the people who believe in them. For example, in the creation myth of Genesis it is precluded that on the seventh day “God” rests from all the lost energy. For this reason, Christians, Muslims and Jews share the Sabbath, a special time in which the "Lord" comes first. Whether it is Friday, Saturday or Sunday, all religious followers have a specific lifestyle that conforms to their “creation” myth. The physical representation of creation myths can be seen around the world in the forms of beautiful gold-covered churches in cities such as Madrid, Spain, and in Muslim mosques in India. These buildings were made for religious practices and to praise the Sabbath day, which are recorded in the creation myth. Are any of these myths valid? We will never know!
