A serial killer is to be known as a killer who stays for a long period of time before killing multiple people. After a serial killer killed one person, they waited months or years before killing another and then stopped and did so until they were caught. But a man or woman doesn't just decide one day to kill people, it all starts when they were children. What makes a person want to kill and why can't we enter the mind of a serial killer? It could be the way they were raised. It could also be that they were beaten as children, or that their parents abused them, or perhaps they were bullied because they were different from others. Most of these caused one thing before they wanted to kill, and that's because of their mental state. Some of these killers were tormented so much that it changed them mentally and emotionally. Some of the killers were also driven by sexual pleasures. The reasoning is that they were pushed down by everything around them and this caused them problems and things that would later give them a "tick" and send them into psychotic rages. Most, if not all, serial killers had a difficult childhood or a problem they couldn't control, and an example of this is John Wayne Gacey. Gacey was abused and beaten by his alcoholic father. Not only that, he couldn't play with any of the other children due to a heart condition. Later in his life things improved and he became highly regarded in the 1960s and 1970s. Gacey had also been married and had children according to biography.com, a website about the biography and lives of famous and infamous people.
