This states that every human being has the right to realize his own future, the unborn is a being. The unborn child has the right to realize his own future and abortion deprives him of this. Abortion is therefore immoral. The problem with this argument is that the future is uncertain, so these are guesses. When asked directly about the legality of abortion, 55% of adults in the United States say it should be legal in all cases, compared to 40% who say it should be illegal at all times. In both cases, these figures have remained relatively stable for at least two decades. Whether the unborn child should be protected or not is a question on which people have different opinions. Many people believe that life begins at conception. Those who argue that even the first form of life has the same rights as a human being normally oppose abortion at any point during pregnancy. Other people say that the unborn child is not a person until the moment of birth. Such views, held by these people, suggest that the unborn child has no right to be protected. An intermediate view holds that the rights of the unborn child begin at the moment of growth, which is the point at which a fetus can survive outside the mother.
