Topic > The history and pillars of Islam - 716

How can we define Islam? Is it worship and a way of life? Or is it simply about performing the pillars of Islam (making payment five times a day, fasting during Ramadan, giving Zakat and going to Hajj for those who can offer). “Being born Muslim in a Muslim country we do not bother to look beyond the fact of being followers of Islam” (aslam). Islam is one of the main and major monotheistic religions like Christianity and Judaism that have existed for a long time. Globally, it is considered the second largest and fastest growing religion among other religions. As stated by Kobeisy (2004) “The number of Muslims in the world is approximately 1.2 billion, one fifth of the world's population” p.11. The importance of Islam lies behind the strong influence in the lives of contemporary Muslims. This essay will shed light on the strength of Islamic history. Furthermore, some main points will be discussed on how the good Muslim can support and promote the life of donia and, through this, prepare for the afterlife. Since time immemorial, there have been a variety of opinions that have attempted to interpret the role of Islam regarding the positive impact of Islam on the lives of Muslims. Islamic culture has gone through many events and obstacles since it was found on earth. With all this, Islam was not negatively affected by all the tribulations it faced. What happened was exactly the opposite, as this religion inspires and instills a sense of true faith in the hearts of anyone who tried to study it in depth. Mohamed the messenger of Allah (PBUH) said “whoever among you sees an evil deed, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with the tongue; and if he does not succeed, then with his heart and this is the weakest of... middle of paper... success in worldly life. But the fundamental prayer that brings long-life happiness is the last third of the night prayer. The reason for this is that the Muslim will leave the thrill of sleep to satisfy his needs by asking Allah for help. Conclusion:-To conclude, Islam is the valid religion in every time and place. At the same time, it is the only religion that has not undergone any alteration. This is why Islam is called The Religion of Truth or the Religion of Nature; because it is a religion full of meaning, feelings, gender equality and humanity (Ahmed.A, 2009). Islam as a religion assists and promotes the body psychologically, physically and mentally as well as the soul. Thus, it neutralizes the needs of man as a whole; this would help to have a healthy person who has led a successful transitional life and is well prepared for the afterlife.
