Lifestyle nowadays becomes more creative than before. The result of this is producing generations with different types of intelligence. However, these generations do not receive the appropriate ways of teaching in school. The way of teaching in school is suitable for only one or two types of intelligence, that of the reader and that of the writer, which are considered linguistic intelligence. People who have linguistic intelligence benefit the most from school. There is a type of people who have a specific type of intelligence that makes them learn through action, by doing things or by being touched and seen. They possess what is called “kinesthetic intelligence”. In Wu-tsu Fa-yen's story “The Art of Burglary”, a father who is a thief, was trying to teach his son how to become a thief. The father took his son to rob a house, but once inside he locked his son in a box in the house and ran away. The father wanted his son to face the problem on his own to become a professional thief. People with kinesthetic intelligence need some requirements such as good teachers and a suitable environment to be qualified to face life's struggles on their own to make them quick professional learners. The important role in managing this type of intelligence lies with teachers. The person who teaches this type of intelligence should understand the way these people learn. This person could be a father, mother, teacher or any elderly person who can make these kind of people understand life better. The teaching starts from the person's family. Parents could easily notice this kind of intelligence through some special actions of the child. The child has a high level of energy which may make him move more than usual. Be impatient, touch...... middle of paper......ke engineering or sculpture. Unlike the father in the story "The Art of Burglary", teachers should always direct their students on the right path to become good members in their society. All in all, these types of students would be more productive and useful to their society if they received care and attention. They will find creative ways to develop their lifestyle and make it easier and be active and successful members in society. The student's parents and teachers take the most important role in caring for him. Providing the right environment for these students will cause the kinesthetic learner to react to the problem and use their hands to learn. These requirements will develop students' intelligence and make them productive members of society. Works Cited Suzuki, Daisetz Teitaro. Essays on Zen Buddhism. New York: Grove Press, 1961: 312-3.
