Imagine saving animals one day at a time. It may be difficult, but you'll get that amazing feeling of knowing you've done something good for someone else. Veterinarians play a key role in society today. People don't realize all the good they do for the public. Duties, tasks, qualities, salary, benefits, clothing, education, and working conditions are important components in deciding whether you can do this job. There are several duties and tasks performed by veterinarians. Since they never know what they will do that day, they must always be prepared for whatever comes in the door. People think that it is enough to check an animal and tell the owner what it is doing well and what needs to be fixed, but veterinarians do much more. They must determine diseases, prescribe drugs, prevent diseases, collect data from animals, interpret new problems, set bones, dress wounds, and many other things. The list goes on and on because they never know what they have to do. These are some of the simplest things this occupation has to handle. Among the more complex tasks of this job would be delivering newborn animals, performing surgeries, interpreting X-rays, and many other things that are also too extensive to include. These are just things that involve solving animal problems. Most people don't realize that veterinarians need to attend classes, conferences, and meetings so they can continue to learn about the new things they need to pretrain. Being a veterinarian requires certain qualities to be successful. They are usually innate qualities. One of the main qualities that a Veterinarian must have is the ability to solve problems. They face new problems every day and need to use their previous and current knowledge...... middle of paper ...... They often work long hours, starting early in the morning and finishing late at night. There will also constantly be emergency calls because people obviously cannot predict when their pets will get hurt or sick. The average amount of work is 40 to 50 hours per week. Now that I have researched this occupation I would be very interested. The idea of ​​traveling to different places to work seems like the perfect day. The salary and benefits also seem like a good fit for me. Many things about this career were pretty predictable, except education. I didn't know you needed so much education to be a vet. I really enjoyed researching this work and can see myself working in this field in my future!
