According to DeMatteo, Galloway, Arnold, and Patel (2015), approximately 75% of colleges have policies outlining procedures for sexual assault, but unfortunately only half of colleges provide the students have a phone number to report an assault, and fewer than half actually provide a phone number that can be used after hours. If universities provided effective measures to ensure that a victim can report an assault, then fewer victims would feel as if they had no voice or someone to turn to for help. A recent study found that only 50% of universities provide a hotline for victims of assault, 44% of universities allow reporting of sexual assault online, and 8% of universities provide anonymous reporting (DeMatteo et al, 2015) . Another place to start would be if policies were put in place to protect victims of sexual violence rather than blame them. If colleges and university campuses could continue to implement preventative measures, then it is possible that more people would be made aware of cases of sexual assault at colleges and universities.
