You hear almost every day that another school is being shut down or that some crazy lunatic is bringing a gun to school it's every tragic hearing of students and teachers getting shot. We hear of parents who are so afraid of sending their children to school or who don't know when they will bring back their son or daughter who will be there last. What if we could take preventative measures to help prevent a problem individual or make them think twice about bringing a gun to school? There are many things schools can do to protect students in their schools and they are being implemented, but who are the ever-present students? And who sees students more than anyone else? The teachers and I believe that we can do good by arming them with weapons after proper training and testing. Arming teachers with guns can protect students in an emergency.
