Abolish Private Fund EducationSeparation in education was the first agreement in 1852 when the first private school was established. In today's school system, attending a private school is statistically more advantageous than attending a public school. In some states, a private school may receive state funding. However, for the sole purpose of this topic, I will refer to private schools as schools that obtain funding from sources outside of the government, and I will determine public schools as schools that receive funding solely from the government. Private schools should be abolished because they do not allow equal opportunities for students and the education provided is not equal. Private schools should be abolished because education should allow equal opportunities for all students. Education is supposed to offer a greater chance of success to the student. Students who attend a state-funded school face a disadvantage as they graduate from secondary school and apply to college. {talk about private school to college ration} There have been reports of colleges being biased in the selection process when choosing between state-funded school and privately funded school applicants. Many educators would agree that a privately funded education is typically more beneficial than a state-funded education. “It seems foolish to propose the abolition of an education system that provides positive and successful outcomes.” (CITE DEBATEWISE.ORG) The system should not be scrapped but instead be incorporated into the public school system. It should be placed in the public school sector because it is not fair that a wealthier individual can get a better education just because…half of paper…compared to the size of privately funded schools. According to (NCES) the average size of schools for a central city, state-funded schools are 1,083 compared to 398 for privately-funded schools. This means that teachers will have an even harder time providing the same amount to a state-funded school than to a privately funded school. Since education is not the same as private education, schools should be abolished. Education should be equal because everyone deserves to be educated, regardless of financial background. School offers many benefits to students and separation elevates one student over another. Education is often seen as the key to success and since not everyone is given the same tools to succeed, something needs to be improved. Public schools should be abolished because they do not provide equal opportunities for students and the education provided is not equitable.
