By raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, the United States can be a great example of how to pay workers enough minimum wage to live a decent lifestyle. People will be able to provide a roof over their children's heads and provide food without government assistance. It is very degrading for a person to work long hours and receive low pay for it. With the increase in the minimum wage, people will be happy and feel like they can support their family or even just themselves. They will no longer have to rely on government assistance and out-of-pocket wages to pay their check. In the United States, jobs will increase and workers will be able to meet the basic needs of life. Soon other countries will follow our example and raise their minimum wage to a living wage. Poverty will decrease and people will eventually be happy. This is the kind of world I want to live in
